Vendo 83
Produced by the Vendo company in the mid 40's and 50's the Vendo 83 is a great looking machine.

One thing you will notice about the 83 is that there is no vending handle. Instead of a handle the bottle door was responsible for turning drum and dispensing the drink when it was opened up - pretty neat!

Vendo also produced an electric coin mech version of the V-83. These machines look identical to the other 83's except that they have a large coin door on the front.

Early versions - Had an aluminum plate across the front of the door.

Later verions - Had two stainless steel trim pieces as shown in the picture on the left.

Just like the Vendo-39 this machine was produced in large numbers and can easly be found if you want one.

One quick note - This machine is heavy - very heavy!
